Keratoconus (KC) is a corneal atrophy that results to cone-shaped feature on the anterior surface. The abnormal corneal curvature increases the refractive power asymmetrically, which introduces myopic and astigmatic symptoms. Due to this similarity, KC cases are often misdiagnosed as common refractive error. In this paper, the measured corneal topography and the manifest defocus prescriptions from 3 KC and 3 regular refractive-error patients are acquired to construct the representative computer eye models. The data from topography is implanted onto the front surface of an emmetropic eye model. With a commercial optical design program, a 3-variable intraocular lens is used to accomplish the patient's eye model with appropriate refractive condition. These 6 eye models are then used to simulate the measurement result from common optometry devices. A comparison of the KC and refractive-error groups is presented.
